Jews in the Netherlands: A Short History
Wachtlijst / belangstelling doorgeven
Most Jewish immigrants to the Netherlands know a few iconic elements of Dutch Jewish history, such as the historic role of the Amsterdam Sephardim and Spinoza, the Shoah and Anne Frank.
But what is the storyline? What happened to the Jews in the Netherlands from the moment they first settled here permanently? In a recent publication, Jews in the Netherlands: A Short History, Tirtsah Levie Bernfeld and Bart Wallet open up this history for a broad public.
In this lecture Bart Wallet will highlight the main points and introduce the fascinating and surprising history of Dutch Jewry.
